6 year Anniversary!

Yesterday marked Dave and I being married for 6 years. It's been quite an adventure, yet last night when I told Dave, that "I'm so happy that I married you", I meant it. It's interesting. I tend to read a lot of Christian romance. Perhaps my favorite is where the hero will risk anything to save the heroine. He would give up his life to protect her. Now, Dave is no gladiator, yet, I feel that same mindset eminate from him. Yesterday, he spent his afternoon fixing my van's brakes because he was nervous that they would go out on me. This was during the football game too...that's love.

It's not even so much in what he says...it's just in his actions that show that he gives me and the kids priority. It's how protected and safe I feel when I am around him. But more than that, he brings life to our lives. He's the fun one...the one who comes up with really fun activities spontaneously. I look back at the finer moments of our life and it's usually because Dave orchestrated some fun memorable moment. I married an incredible man. I know this.

We celebrated our anniversary on Saturday. We drove to Indy with the kids and did the Children's museum. It was SO nice to get out of the house after a week of being on house-arrest with sick kids (both kids ended up with strep, plus Callie's diarrhea and vomiting). He then took me to the Edinburgh outlet mall where he let me go shopping for our anniversary. I ended up with a new sweater and a black dress that was on sale. We hurried home so that we weren't late for our real date. Mindy watched our kids while we went to dinner at Red Seven...amazing food. Really, the best we've had in awhile. It was one of those swanky places that we would never take the kids too and would be considered our "nice" date places. Dave and I were both impressed. Then we went to see "The Blind Side". If you've seen it, I probably need to say no more. If you haven't, you should. It's a really great, feel good movie.

It was a great way to spend our anniversary. Yesterday, our actual anniversary we just spent doing normal activities. We had church in the morning, Dave fought with Noah to eat SOMEthing for lunch, which Noah promptly made himself throw up over everything, Dave fixed my van, and then we had Clear Vision in the evening.

Please pray for Noah. We're not sure what's going on with him. He won't eat at all...not even his favorite foods. Yesterday, when Dave made him eat 3 chicken nuggets, he threw them up and everything along with it (he has a very active gag-reflex). However, last night he came and got us in the middle of the night because he had thrown-up again. So, maybe it's something else. I plan on calling the doctor this morning. It makes me nervous when they won't eat ANYthing for days in a row. So, please pray that whatever this is, just ends quickly so we can really just get back to normal.

The holidays were great, but I am honestly looking forward to getting back to "normal". Happy New Year everyone.

If it continues longer than a week I would get bloodwork to check allergies. This is how Gabe started out and we figured his issues out. We'll be praying!
